Some information about us:

Nigel R. Larkin B.A.(Hons) M.Sc. & Simon Moore M.I.Sc.T., A.C.R.

Nigel and Simon both trained in conservation at the Natural History Museum in London for many years. Simon is a committee member of the Natural Sciences Collections Association (NatSCA), and has been chair of the Professional Standards Board of the National Council for Conservation-Restoration (NCCR) until its convergence to the Institute of Conservation (ICON). Nigel used to be a committee member of the Natural Sciences Conservation Group (now NatSCA). Between us we have more than five decades of conservation experience working with natural history collections in the heritage sector as well as working for private companies and individuals. Our combined experience covers all natural history materials including ethnographic items, with particular areas of expertise in the conservation of geological and palaeontological material (including archaeological bone, antler and ivory), spirit-preserved specimens, freeze-dried specimens, taxidermy and osteology. You can read more about our experience and credentials by clicking on the photos above.
